Ty Cobb was notorious for sliding into bases feet first, with his spikes high. Inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936, Cobb is often listed as one of the greatest hitters in MLB history with 4,191 career hits. Also included on the plate is the "The Georgia Peach" and the details of the photograph (including circa 1909 date). A great piece of Sports Art from an all-time baseball classic.
